Zsuzsanna Toth of Freunde von Freunden sent over a sneak peek (with exclusive pics you won’t find on fvf) of the latest interview with gallerist Karena Schuessler.
“They are earnest and discreet, wear black glasses and have minimalistic furnished habitats. This is a gallerist stereotype. But a walk through the door of Karena Schuessler’s Charlottenburg apartment reveals the exact opposite…”
You’ll have to pay a visit to Freunde von Freunden to see more. Such a tease!

Take a classic shotgun terrace in my favourite Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy. Extend and renovate with voids and stairs and slats and changing levels. Design and evolve and create something beautiful. Architect design, innovation and builder’s own craftsmanship converge in a sensational synergy of style, form and function… that last bit was the real estate agent blurb but I think he is spot on. An amazing home designed by Atelier Wagner Architects. Link here while it lasts.
Why be pedestrian in your kitchen design when you can ride the subway? Subway tile that is. Beautiful kitchen by Heiberg Cummings Design.
That late afternoon light in the mountains. Those purples and dusky blues as the golden sun dips low over eucalypt forests. The owner of this TriBeCa loft, by stellar Australian firm Nexus Designs, chose a colour palette inspired by Australia’s Blue Mountains. Absolute perfection. But then you wouldn’t expect anything less from Nexus Designs.

The latest issue of Est is live today and what a treat awaits. Creative Director Lynda Evans emailed with a sneak peek. “From a boutique owner’s home on Sydney’s north shore with a well honed sophisticated style and a steadfast passion for a muted palette, to a young family’s country retreat in the hills of Victoria’s spa country filled with vintage finds and eclectic pieces and an artists residence swathed in textural artworks and surrounded by the fields of Holland.” There is even a chance to win Hamman Towels from Bedouin Societe! My favourite e-magazine just keeps getting better.
