Still stalking

As one does on a Saturday. Stalking a long thin block of land where Andrew Burges Architecture created a 2 storey contemporary house with connection to the sky and the garden. Privacy and plywood. A great combination. It’s all about with scale, with tightness and opening up, changing levels and opportunistic views. Link here while it lasts. (Thanks Anne for sniffing this one out for me!)

P.S. I have included a couple more images from the architect’s site… just because I can.

Stalking sophisticated by the sea

Not your normal beach shack. I’m stalking a sophisticated, elegant yet relaxed home. A mature house that has allowed its owners to enjoy life simply and stylishly. And all this just a short stroll to the ocean and golf course if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful courtyards and garden. Good houses never grow old they just look for new owners and a new lease on life. Link here while it lasts.

“Come camping this weekend,” she said. “We put up a couple tents in the bottom paddock at the start of summer. Everyone just drops in. All very casual.”

“I’d love to. Do you need me to bring anything? I have a sleeping bag.”

“No Jo. We’re pretty much set up. Just bring yourself… and maybe a couple of bottles of Australian red.”

Bursting with colour and life and layers of texture. As hot as Brazilian design is these days Fernanda Marques produces work that is as cool as can be. A sophisticated, contemporary style with energy to burn.
