I found this idea in photographer Patric Johansson’s portfolio. Love the idea of pasting posters to the wall and tearing them back to achieve this look. The limited colour palette is striking too. Can’t wallpaper your walls with posters in your home? Think about doing this on a large piece of foam core board or similar and prop against the wall or behind a desk. (Removable adhesive strips would work with the lightweight board as well.)
Want to paper your space with all those posters you have hoarded over time? Don’t forget the floor! This amazing installation is by Alisa Grifo, a set and interior designer based in New York and Sweden.

My new Asian-style kitchen has heightened my love for spaces designed with an ethnic vibe. This love grew even more when I came across the portfolio of designer Stephen Falcke. His work has taken him around the globe – South Africa, France, Australia, Greece, Israel…and these gorgeous locations have clearly inspired his designs. “I derive a lot of my inspiration from nature and think of my style as a melting pot of various worldwide cultures.”

Scott Waterman is an artist, a talented decorative painter and I’d like to add an incredible interior designer once I saw photos of his home. His decorative painting began with trompe l’oeil murals and the restoration of historic buildings. Amazing talent (click for larger images)…

His former home in San Francisco was featured in several shelter magazines and was absolutely breathtaking – so serene, romantic, captivating and filled with natural beauty. The creativity in these spaces is fascinating.

Scott has alot of ideas for his house and someday hopes to move his studio out of it, but in the meantime it is fantastic – the white makes his stunning and colourful artwork just come to life. Talk about multi-talented!! Thank you Scott for introducing us to your creative world.

Thought I’d share a quick photo of my weekend project. I’ve been rearranging one of my walls in my dining area (would love to say “room” but as a lot of you know 2 bedroom apartments don’t normally stretch to a separate dining room). Happy with this for the moment. On to the next project.
