Clarisse Reade

Posted on Tue, 5 Mar 2013 by KiM

Clarisse Reade is an interior designer from Brazil who is apparently not a fan of minimalism. Layer upon layer of funiture, art and knick knacks appears to be Clarisse’s signature style and I think she does it really well. None of these spaces look overly crowded and instead of wanting to run and hide, I want to devour every inch. Lovely spaces. (Hope the owners have housekeepers – can you imagine dusting those shelves??)

Julie Nabucet

Julie Nabucet is a Parisian architect whose portfolio has completely won me over. The apartment in the first group of photos before the jump is 150 m² and located right by the Eiffel Tower. DREAMY! Especially the rustic kitchen.

Feilden Fowles Architects

Pared back, elegant simplicity. Spaces stripped back to their inherent form. Beautiful, precise yet subtle. Feilden Fowles Architects deliver pure, conceptually strong buildings. The first , a renovation to a 1930’s apartment sees emphasis on symmetry where the dark walnut-lined central axis with sliding elements provides intimate pockets in an open plan design. stripped back to its inherent form. The second home, a Cotswold extension to a working farmhouse emphasises its simple, functional structure.

Annette’s apartment in Oslo

Back in the summer I blogged the beautiful work of interior designer and photographer Annette Nordstrøm, so I was excited when Annette emailed the other day wanting to share with us her dream apartment in Oslo, Norway. I can see why it’s a dream. It has fantastic architectural details like huge windows, arched cielings, exposed beams, old radiators etc. etc. Annette and her stylist partner Christian have created such a stunning home, utilizing many pieces of furniture that were inherited or found at auction, mixed with Moroccan details for an eclectic, global vibe. The neutral palette, mix of textures and patterns along with the architecture has me completely smitten.
