A juicy design

Posted on Thu, 28 Nov 2019 by midcenturyjo

I love it when a staid and proper terrace is all party house out the back. Fabulous extension to this Paddington, Sydney home by Juicy Design.

I love those emails that pop into your inbox bearing gifts. No not offers of sponsored posts or products to review. I love those emails that readers send of amazing homes they’ve found on their own real estate adventures, little gifts from kindred spirits. This hidden gem is a stables conversion in the Melbourne suburb of Albert Park. Metres from the sea it is the über stylish home of interior designer Jane Charlwood.  Think soaring voids, rafters and exposed brick feature walls, beautiful furniture and standout art. Even better think lush gardens, inviting alfresco areas and all of it wrapped up in rambling ivy. It’s going to auction but with a price guide of over $7 million most of us will only be dreaming but oh the lovely dreams! Link here while it lasts.

Spaces by Valentin Loellmann

Posted on Mon, 25 Nov 2019 by KiM

I strive to find unique spaces to share on this blog of ours because I feel like the design world can be over-saturated with the same styles. Trends are not my thing. When I came across creator and designer Valentin Loellman, from Maastricht, The Netherlands, I was very much intrigued by his vision. The first series of photos I’m sharing are of his studio’s loft. Dear gawd, is this what heaven looks like?!

The following photos are randomly selected from some other spaces Valentin has designed that caught my eye.

A beautiful contemporary farmhouse

” Mixing concrete, wood, marble and brick, there is an endless palette of finishes that join together to embody a bespoke home with open plan and endless warmth.”

Light, bright and incredibly beautiful. A Californian take on a contemporary farmhouse by Rachael Goddard Design Studio.

Monte da Palmeira

White washed walls, bamboo ceilings, dark wood furniture, collectables, textiles from around the world and straw rugs beneath your feet. Add sun drenched private terraces, lush green gardens and alfresco dining by the pool. Fancy a getaway to the Algave? A little rustic luxury at Monte da Palmeira perhaps.
