Marcus Lawett

Time for another great photographer. Love the white white white and that light… gotta be a Scandinavian snapper. (The IKEA shots are a give away too.) Love the softly darkling of his shots. Softly darkling?  OK I made that up but you know what I mean! Marcus Lawett is the super talented photographer and if you recognise some of the shots it will be because they were styled by Sofie Andersson, now Sofie Lawett. My Swedish obsession continues.

Can I live here PUHLEASE?!?!

I found this home on Contemporist and had to re-post it here because I am completely in awe of the architecture. It’s mind-blowingly AWESOME. And inspiring because Jeff and I are in the process of researching architects for the work we want to do to my ok OUR home and I would love to something even one iota as creative as this. The space was created by Spanish architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez and is the attic space of an early 20th century building in Madrid. It’s composed of several different levels and angles yet it’s continuous which makes the space appear much larger than it is (it being all white helps too)….and frankly, WAY more interesting. It’s just plain NEAT-O.

A boutique of unmentionables

Justyna Friedberg’s Morpho Studio is at it again. First we featured an advertising agency her firm (based in Poland) designed, now it’s an exclusive lingerie boutique, located in a historic, renovated tenement in Kraków’s Old Town. There are several intriguing features, like the use of an antique Singer sewing machine that was fitted with a top and serves as a coffee table and the creation of a counter that looks like three huge drawers put one on top of the other. It’s gorgeous – love the white scheme that really showcases the products, and the whitewashed fittings are beautiful and give a bit of a casual feel. Country living

I just ate a whole bunch of lobster Jeff and I picked up at the airport that his parents had flown in from Prince Edward Island for my parents (30 lbs worth), so I am too full to come up with much to say as an intro to the following lovely photos of a completely renovated and modernized country home photographed by Stuart McIntyre and styled by the crazy-talented Katrine Martensen-Larsen. This place ain’t too country now! It’s eclectic and I’m loving all the white walls.

A perfectly styled apartment

Posted on Thu, 10 Jun 2010 by KiM

A while back during a random google search I came across a feature on the Australian website mecho of a modern beach style apartment in Clovelly, Australia. Styled by Allison Warner and photographed by Natalie Hunfalvay, the following photos are so beautiful and the spaces soooo perfectly styled. Simply gorgeous.
