I was going to string along some totally inadequate descriptions which included words like fabulous and amazing but I don’t have to. The designer’s own description and the photos tell it all. The only thing I would like to add is WOW! Larkspur Hilltop by Nicole Hollis.

Amidst a forest in Brussels lies a home built of brick and glass. Modern in design, simple in architecture and decor. The surrounding landscape is the jewel of this home. Created by Studio Daskal Laperre.

How to win me over in 2 steps. 1 – install some crittall doors as a room separator. 2 – install some old-school patterned tile in a “rug” pattern. Studio Karhard + TWArchitecten won me over just like that with this Berlin apartment renovation.

Sometimes it takes just one room, a single perfect space that captures your heart and soul completely. This lovely heritage home in Sydney’s prestigious Darling Point is beautiful. The windows are stunning, the kitchen is amazing but it is the garden room, or at least what I call the garden room, that will haunt my design dreams for months to come. Lead-light and parlour palms, rattan seats and french oak tables. Perfection. This is one of the times I wish I was actually touring the house not just real estate stalking. A week of grey skies and constant rain has left me craving light-filled spaces and I can’t think of a better place to be than the amazing loft home of Sally Breer, founder and lead designer of L.A.-based ETC.etera. Soaring windows, industrial posts and beams, killer furniture including a Desede Terrazza sofa. I’m in heaven. Now if the design gods would only scoop my up from my sodden surrounds and transport me to this L.A. loft all would be well with my world.
