Weekend away

Posted on Sat, 17 Aug 2013 by midcenturyjo

It’s been a crazy few weeks in my life. Crazy disappointing. Don’t you wish you could run away from it all? Take time out? Escape from the rat race and enjoy some free time, some me time in a beautiful location. Simple, honest luxury. A weekend away at the San Giorgio Hotel on Mykonos could turn into a lifetime. I wish.

It’s never too late for some chair porn

Elle Interiör

I realized it has been ages since I have done a chair porn post….which means this post is ALL ABOUT CHAIRS. I have a slight obsession you see. I can never get enough of chairs. I almost bought a couple of these Solair chairs in black a couple of weeks ago for the backyard but in the end decided I didn’t really need them. Still kicking myself for not getting them as I have wanted some forever (classic retro Canadian design at it’s finest). Stay tuned later as you’ll see my top 5 favs.

Through the door

Posted on Fri, 16 Aug 2013 by midcenturyjo

Come on in. Pass through the door and you too can enter the world of photographer Brie Williams. Loose yourself in these beautiful rustic images. Feel the sun, hide in the shadows, run your hands across the rough walls. Be drawn in to the story behind the images. Let your mind wander and wonder. Who lives here? Where are these houses? Explore and enjoy. The photographer has done her job well.

Stalking staid facades

Posted on Fri, 16 Aug 2013 by midcenturyjo

It never ceases to amaze me what hides behind the staid facades of Melbourne terraces. A large soaring wall of glass and a fresh and friendly open plan living area. The light must be lovely. The perfect spot for a morning coffee and the newspapers. Link here while it lasts.
