This is a test

Posted on Sat, 15 Mar 2014 by KiM

I don’t really know what to do to make this work, as Squarespace has provided me with zero info over the past 6 days, because they apparently don’t know what the problem is either. So I’m hoping if I try creating a post in another browser, magic might happen. And if you can see these photos, by Barcelona design firm Beriestain Interiores, then FANTASTIC!

Stalking leftovers

Posted on Sat, 15 Mar 2014 by midcenturyjo

Saturday again and you know the story. I’ve spent my spare moments flitting from real estate listing to real estate listing during the week. I’m a stalker but I’m fussy. Not quite right, bad photos, I need more photos please, house is amazing furniture is deplorable or no furniture at all! Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week’s leftovers include 4 apartments from a realty renovation show still with a few weeks left to run (no spoilers allowed… on the market but only showing those rooms revealed so far on TV)), a warehouse apartment that has been photographed badly but still shines through and a refreshing splash of green in a Paddington kitchen. More from Klopper & Davis Architects

A modern extension to an historic home all with a retro riff. More from Klopper & Davis Architects. Are you longing for pressed metal ceilings like I am?

(P.S. I know some of you are having issues seeing Kim’s pictures but is anyone having problems seeing mine?)

Is that a Space Invaders house?

How cool! I already love the modern open plan, the concrete and the white brick, the bright yellow and hot pink accents as well as the pool but what I really, really love are the Space Invader motifs in the brickwork. Crass? No way! Life is too short not to have a sense of humour. Florence House by Perth, West Australia based Klopper & Davis Architects.

Climb the stairs …

I love this photo by David Prince. Makes me want to run up and down those stairs. Makes me want to sit secretly in the chair, swinging my feet waiting to jump out and cry “boo” at who ever happens on down. If I tell the truth it really makes me want that runner!
