Monday’s pets on furniture

Posted on Mon, 29 Aug 2011 by KiM

If you’d like to send us photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to  desiretoinspirekim[@]hotmail[.]com and PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet!)

This is my little angel Maggot, (goes by “Maggie” for short), she is a two year old Maltese Poodle X. Here she is having an (interrupted) nap in the afternoon light of the master bedroom.
– Tiffany

This is Lucy. She’s the newest addition to our family, but as you can see she’s quickly made herself at home. Here she’s sprawled our on our sectional in the den, flat on her back & snoozing the day away.
– Lara

Eddie, my 2.5 month old basset hound‏
– Maxwell

I came downstairs to find my two year old boxer, Vash, sunbathing on this chair.
– Arianne (Utah)

There’s Ginger, my fifteen year old kitty, nesting in an afghan knitted by my late grandmother on my sleek and incredibly comfortable white leather sofa. Ginger joined Me’me’ (french for grandma) in the great beyond on wednesday. She always was a very stylish girl.
– Krista

This is our 9 months old Beagle, Mario from Brazil. It’s Winter here so we have this king size blanket thrown on the couch to fit us all ( me, hubs, 12, & 8 year old sons), but Mario seems to believe it’s one owner only… Yep! 6 months of pure joy and hard laughing!
– Angela

This is Lelo. He lives with us here in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He loves to stay in the stairs… or to sleep at the entrance of the hallway!
– Liliana & Marcelo

I have always used animals in my advertisements for my products!  Here are a few 🙂
1 – My 2 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gunga always finds a chair to sit in no matter what kind! He really believes he is a person.
2 – Bono and Edge love to take naps on the mexican Otomi bedspread! They love the animal designs!
Stefany (Los Angeles)

Pino the cat on a vintage chair.
– Hannah

This is my border terrier Otti enjoying a snooze on the sofa.
– Hellen (Brooklyn)

This is what Ricky does when we are away. I guess you wouldn’t want to be invited to my house for dinner!
– Jill

***** A little something extra ******

My name is Irene and I’m an italian artist. I’m a great animal lover and this is my passion is the principal inspiration of my art! You can find all my original paintings here: dimdi.etsy.com

Fishbowl

Posted on Fri, 26 Aug 2011 by KiM

In keeping with my workspace theme of the day, this wallpaper is hilarious used in a little nook. Would you really want to feel like you were in a fishbowl if you were relegated to working in such a small space?

Reader request – double desks

Posted on Fri, 26 Aug 2011 by KiM

Today’s reader request is from logsy: I recently discovered your blog (love it) and found myself wading through the first 100 pages in one sitting. Throughout this I saw a double desk (two chairs, two computers, side by side) and forgot to save the picture for inspiration. I now can’t find the page it was on. With this in mind, I was wondering if you’d consider doing a blog post on double desks? Here you go logsy, some side by side desks and a few that are different options for 2-for-1 workspaces.

Love? Hate?

Posted on Thu, 25 Aug 2011 by KiM

I have had this apartment stored in my “blog this” folder for ages and for some reason haven’t bothered blogging it yet. When I found it last night I could not figure out if I love it or hate it. A bit too modern? Maybe. I don’t know how annoying it would be to have your living room facing the kitchen lengthwise like that. Some of the furniture, accessories and artwork is really not doing anything for me. The wraparound curtains in the bedroom (and a bit in the living room) are driving me insane. So are all those odd little rectangular potlights. I do love the kitchen (where’s the fridge??), the bathroom, the fireplace, the hardwood floors, the GLASS! FLOOR!, the staircase, and the soaring ceilings. (Via Per Jansson Fastighetsförmedling AB)
