There is nothing overly exciting in the layout or architecture of this Swedish apartment for sale via Lagerlings, but throw in some large scale framed photography, gorgeous Thonet bentwood armchairs and an equally gorgeous dining table and classy herringbone hardwood floors and blah became BOOM!
The 80s is back with a vengeance where Parisian interior decorator Vincent Darré is concerned. Not for the shy or the faint of heart, Vincent’s surreal, baroque, high-octane style is maximum impact and as eccentric as it comes.
What a week! PHEW! These warm, serene spaces filled with earthy, soothing shades of cream, grey and brown are absolutely stunning and the ultimate way to start into the weekend. I really love Michael Del Pietro‘s style (as does Jo – see last couple of features here and here) and her vignette below is HOW YOU DO THAT. Happy Friday!
One thing I have loved for as long as I can remember are very old antique portraits in gilded frames used in not-so-traditional spaces. Here are 2 random photos I came across recently where these portraits are hanging in very unexpected spaces, and they look fantastic in both.
