Colour splash

A stylish combination of traditional features and colourful contemporary design, this South Yarra renovation by architectural firm Techne packs a punch with personality, colour and a killer art collection. It’s a pared back modern living space that revels in the grand proportions of the old house.  Of course the house looks even more spectacular thanks to the amazing photography by Graeme Boyle.

Warehouse wonder

I love a warehouse refurb and today I have two. One a condo with history and loads of style. The other a commercial space with history and loads of style. But they have more than that in common. They are both designs by Jessica Helgerson. I can put my hand on my heart and say there is not a thing I would change. Lofty praise indeed. Oooooh did I just say that!

P.S. Photography by Lincoln Barbour.

Stalking on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 8 Jun 2013 by midcenturyjo

Not my ordinary stalking today. I was drawn in a little further than usual. I found this striking black house in the Melbourne suburb of Armadale. Yes nice. Usual real estate pics. I like this house. Oh a video. Click and… wow…. I want this house. I’m hooked. I need this house. Oh it’s own website. More pics. Just icing on the cake. Now I want to go to an open house in a city at the other end of the country and nose around someone else’s house and pretend it’s mine. If I had the money I would be so tempted to buy. Good house but great campaign Marshall White! The link to the listing is here. The house’s website is here.
