Norwegian inspiration

Posted on Sun, 22 Mar 2015 by KiM

Before I dash off to another day of craziness at the Ottawa Antique & Vintage Market to help with hubby’s Daff Design booth, I wanted to share these spaces from Norwegian magazine KK Living that left me drooling all over my keyboard. I particularly adore the home of Line Evensen featured in the photos before the jump – such a wonderfully eclectic mix of styles that is so random it works. OTT on a Sunday

As soon as I spotted this apartment on Shoot Factory, I KNEW it had to be the work of interior designer Sera Hersham-Loftus. This Madame of boudoir chic has brought seductive, romantic drama yet again in this London space. I thought I would start the week off with a BOOM (or maybe in this case a wham, bam, thank you ma’am). 😉

Living in the catalogue

Posted on Wed, 11 Feb 2015 by midcenturyjo

OK so you all know I fantasise about living in a shop, creeping out of my hiding place after closing time. Well the same goes for living in a catalogue or in these days of the interwebs living in an online shop. I can just see me now. A virtual bag lady pushing my shopping cart from category to category in a virtual retail wonderland, looking for a place to rest. I’d definitely put my virtual feet up in these amazing product shots for Couleur Locale. Yes please! A girl can daydream.

Textures and patterns

I adore this home. All that wood, the massive amount of art mostly leaning casually on the floor, the gorgeous kilim rugs and pillows, the burlap window treatments…it does not get much cozier than this. By Commune.

The definition of eclectic

This wacky home is a 5500 sq ft location venue in London. Oh, how fun this would be to use some of these bits of furniture and really go to town decorating. It has such incredible bones, and would be a photographer’s dream to shoot. Via Shoot Factory.
