
I find raw, industrial spaces very inspiring. Location shoot venues are my favourites as they are typically filled with some of the most random bits of furniture and oddities (ie. a pommel horse, because you never know what type of photo shoot or movie might need that!). Shoot Factory has some of the most eclectic and quirky industrial spaces around so I went through their site and picked out some spaces that really stood out. Now I want to go thrifting!!

A modern take on the Australian corrugated shed vernacular this interior alteration to an existing 3 bedroom 1919 house provides open plan living, dining and kitchen with study mezzanine above while sheilding the rear of the house from the prying eyes of the residents of the large block of apartments behind. An old electric light station building is a perfect stage for this light infused loft. Luxe against rough, walls of books, tribal meets texture, industrial softened with fine fabrics, soaring ceilings and that light, that beautiful light. I have serious work place eny. Spotted this powder room on Remodelista and I knew I had to see more of the house. What is it about subway tile, dark grout and the warm, golden hue of wood that gets me every time? Add in a hint of copper or pipe used for anything other than carrying water and well, I’m weak at the knees.
