Pared back, honest, layered with textiles and found objects. Industrial and rustic, earthy and raw, rich in history, a story in every piece on every shelf. The Hay-On-Wye, Powys home of Mark and Sally Bailey of Baileys for sale. Time to buy a dream? Via The Modern House.

I love all things vintage, and have wanted to get my hands on vintage lockers for ages. I either have not had the space for them, or have not found any I like. (My pals at Highjinx got some in a while back but they sold within minutes of them posting a photo on FB and IG). In the meantime I can love them from afar, and this round-up of all sorts of locker awesomeness will maybe be a sign that I will come across some soon! 🙂

I thought this post might cheer Jo up and make her forget she’s sick. It is an apartment in a converted Victorian school house in London. With alot of re-configuring to make the space more liveable and bright, and some crazy eclectic designs, interior design studio Avocado Sweets turned this space into a super fun, totally creative and full of personality dwelling for the homeowners. Complete with Penguin book cover wall – look familiar Jo?

They call it “Industrial Williamsburg/Adirondack/Cowboy Sensibility”. I call it cool. Would you believe this is a Brooklyn townhouse? Hell no. Better still it’s a B&B and there is even a log cabin out back. Time to pack the bags, check in and soak up the hipster vibes. Welcome to Urban Cowboy B&B.

I love a well-executed conversion. This one is a former railway cottage situated between a railway line and a national park in Velsen, The Netherlands. It was designed by ZW6 Interiors and is such a beautiful marriage of old heritage and modern aesthetics. Steel, concrete & glass blend magically with greenery, crumbled brick and wooden beams. What a dream house.
