Nikki Tibbles is a famous British florist whose home I have featured a couple of times over the past several years here when it was for sale (and didn’t sell) and then here when it was up for rent. Now Nikki’s 1890 5 story absolutely incredible residence is available as a location property. I would have to put this stunner in one of the top 5 I have featured in the 8 years of this blog’s existence. It has so much life and energy, and quirkiness and boldness, and endless personality. Someone needs to shoot a movie here.

It does not get much more hard core than this. A new location property (4300 sq ft victorian semi detached) available via Shoot Factory. I don’t think I need to say more. 🙂

I’m ruthless when I real estate stalk. I flick from property to property with nary a second thought. Yes, bookmark. No, move on. A stalking machine. But when I saw this Paddington, Sydney property I think I caught my breath. Stylist and author Sibella Court‘s old shop and home is for sale. I fell in love with this building the first time I walked through the door. I spent far too much time exploring all her treasures for sale. I bought a few trinkets, a couple of her books and a knitted rat dissection (!) and on returning home told everyone they had to go. Every time I was in Sydney I would visit, quietly, reverently like a overwhelmed child in a sweet shop. I even planned to stay there when it was listed on airbnb but perhaps I have left that too late. I need not worry about her shop though. The Society Inc has a new home not far across town in a warehouse in St Peters. I wish I had the money to buy Sibella’s old home. Is it creepy to say that I’d keep it just the same way? The bijou time warp kitchen, the quirky bathroom, the walls and floors and all. It would be perfect for my ever expanding collections. The link to the listing is here while it lasts.

Max Humphrey of Burnham Design went all out with a totally eclectic blend of furnishings, colours and patterns in his West Hollywood apartment. Known for combining modern and traditional with a little jolt of the unorthodox, this space (with glorious original moldings) is an energetic, whimsical home that is full of life. I featured a couple of projects by London-based interior designer Hubert Zandberg recently….but I have not yet shared his home with you. It is like a museum, a laboratory of wunderkammer. I hope he has a housekeeper because I cannot fathom having to dust all of the things. I could spend hours in his home inspecting each and every artifact. And then I would stuff a few things in my purse because he surely would not notice. 😉
