What can we expect from the latest issue of Inside Out magazine? Fabulous homes and inspiration of course. Like the home of jewellery designer Megan Perkins. Or should I say her parents’ home. That’s right. She moved back in with her parents but when your oldies have such an amazing house (her dad actually built it) where’s the problem?! Writer/stylist Natalie Walton and photographer Chris Warnes of Warnes & Walton take us inside this stunning family space.

Yes folks, it appears to be new magazine issue season. One of my online favourites (ok, I seem to have alot of favourites) is Heart Home magazine from the UK and their summer issue is coming online Thursday. There are the special little things in life that fill a slow rainy day (or a crazy busy day why won’t it SLOW DOWN… ooops sorry). Little things that make me happy. A good magazine is one of them. And Inside Out is a great magazine. I always get a wee bit over excited when an email from managing editor Lee Tran Lam is sitting in my box. Do we want to see a house? Yes please!

“It’s from our new Jul/Aug issue and it’s of a makeover of a Dutch farmhouse. The revamp included lots of upcycling – and in fact, the floor of the top storey is made of old cheeseboards! The styling is by Studio Viva Vida of The Netherlands and the photography is by Jean-Marc Wullschleger.”

Inspired by the über cool (or should that be très cool 😉 interiors of the new Hôtel Paradis in Paris. With a quirky mix of vintage, midcentury and modern, the rooms in the 3 star boutique hotel designed by Chzon are layered with colour and pattern. Funky and fun and very reasonably priced. After all staying in style shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’ll take the room with the view thanks!

A big thanks to Åsa for sending us the link to this INSANE flat for sale in Helsingborg, southern Sweden. This is so atypical of what Swedes do to their homes. We all know they LOVE white…and there is not one spec of white in this apartment (with the exception of the tub and toilet). It must take special people to come up with this, and be able to live here day after day. I sure as hell could not. I would lose my freaking mind. It’s just so bizarre. Good luck selling this place!
