I wish summer would last forever. To sit here at my computer with the window open and listen to the birds, traffic (LOL), and enjoy the cool breeze. To see green outside instead of white and brown. I could just move into a traditional Mediterranean villa such as this one and all would be right with the world. (I would have to add a bit of black and more modern and industrial touches to it though). Via Micasa.

What can we expect from the latest issue of Inside Out magazine? Fabulous homes and inspiration of course. Like the home of jewellery designer Megan Perkins. Or should I say her parents’ home. That’s right. She moved back in with her parents but when your oldies have such an amazing house (her dad actually built it) where’s the problem?! Writer/stylist Natalie Walton and photographer Chris Warnes of Warnes & Walton take us inside this stunning family space.

We have blogged many conversions on the blog, mostly churches but we have blogged a few stables. I think this one is my favourite. It’s so beautiful – especially the juxstaposition of white against the original timber stable walls. I could absolutely live here. I’d have to do a smell test first though. If it still smelled like horse I’d leave it for someone else. 😉 Via AR Design Studio

A true fairytale – a beautiful historic building rising from the ruins. You’ll find me on this Monday morning taking coffee on the terrace sleepily drinking in the spectacular view of the Lago Trasinemo below. Might take a dip later. What a place to take an imaginary break on the first work day of the week!
