If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim[@]hotmail[.]com and PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet!)
This is Kayli on my desk. She was a stray that showed up at our front door a few months ago. We just knew we would have to find her a new home since my husband is very allergic to (most) cats…it has been over three months now and he has had no allergies whatsoever. Guess it was meant to be!!!

I have a few (lol) super cute pics of my dog, Murphy!
– Kirsten (Malibu, CA)
I gave up telling her she shouldn’t be on the chair… Now this piece of furniture is basically hers!
– Vanessa (Brazil)
This is Miss Ikegami. We bought a set of chairs years ago and she claimed one as her own. If you sit in it, she will come over to you and meow at you until you get off. Then she will jump on to the chair and hold court. She never sits on the other chair in the set!

These are our adorable mutts, Remley (left) and Sammy (right). They love to run around, cause mischief, and take over whatever piece of furniture they can find when we’re not looking…or in this case, when we ARE looking!

Still real estate stalking. It’s an addiction I know. I just a busy body. I like to stick my nose into other people’s homes. Today I have two. Both in Paddington, Sydney. The first a small terrace house rather uncluttered for the photo shoot. (Methinks perhaps professionally styled… nothing wrong with that. It’s all about selling houses.) The second a somewhat larger terrace with a faded, well lived in look. Definitely not professionally styled. Oh the clutter! But secretly it’s the clutter that does it for me. Makes me want to pick up a dust cloth and explore. Love the kitchen and there is a little library room…. oh what a lovely little room. Links here and here while they last.
It is the start of a new working week. Need some cheering up? Are you feeling blue? No really are you feeling these blues! What a wonderful way to blow away the cobwebs and get stuck into a week of interiors inspiration. Beautiful blues from the portfolio of photographer Julia Hoersch. Gorgeous work!
