And the stalking resumes

Posted on Thu, 12 Feb 2015 by midcenturyjo

I’m stalking my first house for the year and I’m excited. The real estate blurb for this Armadale, Melbourne house reads “sophisticated style and effortless practicality”. I’m seeing fab family spaces without any sacrifice in good looks. Love the kitchen, the family room TV wall, the sliding arm wall lights and the casual formality of the backyard. What’s great about this stalking is that I think the owner might even be able to answer any questions you may have. Isn’t that right Danuta? Link here while it lasts.

Harriet Anstruther

Country to contemporary, traditional to modern, Harriet Anstruther Studio can do it all, and the resulting spaces are the most calming, inviting and timeless you can imagine. Each and every one of these rooms draws you in and I would be completely at ease and at peace in all of them.

It’s not much bigger than a pocket handkerchief but it’s a perfect piece of paradise in the inner city. Paddington courtyard by Sydney-based Think Outside Gardens.

Living in the catalogue

Posted on Wed, 11 Feb 2015 by midcenturyjo

OK so you all know I fantasise about living in a shop, creeping out of my hiding place after closing time. Well the same goes for living in a catalogue or in these days of the interwebs living in an online shop. I can just see me now. A virtual bag lady pushing my shopping cart from category to category in a virtual retail wonderland, looking for a place to rest. I’d definitely put my virtual feet up in these amazing product shots for Couleur Locale. Yes please! A girl can daydream.
