Another eclectic location home in London

Posted on Tue, 29 May 2018 by KiM

I have fallen in love with this London location home mostly due to the sheer size of the kitchen (maximum envy here!) but also because of the eclectic vibe throughout. Some bold accent colours, a touch of black, some patterns in a funky sofa and wallpaper…. Via 1st Option Locations.

An apartment in Poland

Posted on Fri, 25 May 2018 by KiM

Lucyna Kołodziejska, the lovely interior designer from Gdańsk, Poland whose work we have featured for years, has kindly sent over some photos from one of her latest projects. This one is an apartment in Sopot, a resort city on the Baltic sea in northern Poland. As always Lucyna has done a fabulous job with this space, giving it an ethnic feel while keeping it modern and classy. I adore that tile inset into the floor in the kitchen and hallway and the mural  behind the bed.

Splish Splash

It’s a new, squeaky clean working week and I ‘m marking the occasion with the perfect spot to get squeaky clean yourself. It’s this fabulous bathroom by Jaclyn Peters Design. Love the modern meets retro feel with on trend black fittings and clean lined wooden vanities paired with those amazing 50s inspired sconces and the little hairpin legged stool. Love the beautiful light streaming in and the subtle luxury of marble tiles. You can see more Jaclyn’s work here.

A California beach house with a modern edge

Posted on Fri, 11 May 2018 by KiM

Last month I featured an edgy loft by interior designer Lukas Machnik and thought I would share another of his projects. This time the scene is quite different. A house on the beach in California is given a modern yet earthy with lots of creams, wood and black accents. Some mid-century modern classics are a reminder that this isn’t your average beach house. My favourite elements are the dining table and benches that he designed. Gorgeous!!

Still stalking

Posted on Mon, 30 Apr 2018 by midcenturyjo

You would think I haven’t got very far these past few days, that I’m caught in a virtual real-estate-stalking parallel universe. It couldn’t be further from the truth. Although I’m sharing this inner city Melbourne warehouse style home with its polished concrete floors, steel framed windows and soaring ceiling in its impressive entrance I haven’t spent the entire weekend stalking. I’ve actually been working on a new master bedroom in my own house that I hope to share with you any day now. I’m moving from my old black bedroom to a white, bright room across the corridor. It’s not that I fell out of love with black walls. It’s just time for a change. In the meantime you can tell me how you feel about the black ceiling in this warehouse’s open plan living space. Link to the listing here while it lasts.
