Reader’s home – Nusara’s new digs

Posted on Wed, 14 Mar 2012 by KiM

We received this email from Nusara the other day: A little over 2 years ago, I sent you pictures of our rental that we sadly left for a condo my husband & I bought. (We blogged it here). Finally, after blood, sweat and joyful tears, we’ve gotten our new nest in order. We filled it with the things we love whether they were found, bought, adopted or created by us. They’ve done a great job with their new digs – the colours, the fun wallpapers, and the coziness is still present from their last home. (More photos and descriptions here). Thanks again Nusara!

British minimalism

From Andy Martin Architects. Light and dark. Black and white. Solid and void. Weight and weightlessness. Day and night. The power of contrast and the beauty of simplicity of line.

Mews 02 is a single residence set in Belsize Park. The owners, a musician and his designer wife, wanted this existing mechanics garage to be converted to a 4 level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining areas and with the ability to create private compartments over for sleeping.

Around my home

I thought for something a little different that I’d snap some photos around my home. It’s been quite a while since I have had any projects going on since work on the house has come to a halt while we plan to wreck and rebuild it. That being said, these photos all ended up being all closeups of vignettes, as I was too lazy to organize anything on a larger scale for photos and there frankly isn’t much of a point. (And on that note, do I ever need to sell some of my stuff! More on that when I get around to it. And if you’d like to poke around old posts of my place check here.)

Yabu Pushelberg

George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg of Yabu Pushelberg are interior design geniuses who have been in the business for over 30 years (having started out in Toronto) and now have offices in TO, New York and China. They push the boundaries of interior design and create spaces that are luxurious and breathtakingingly beautiful. Now this is eye candy! The first bunch of photos are of their New York apartment (one of their 3 residences). Gorg!!
