I’m almost at a loss for words. This home in Wentworth-Nord, Québec designed by Montréal architect Alain Carle is so incredibly beautiful from the outside in. Most of the wood and stone throughout the house are reclaimed and are what really make this home special. Alongside the concrete floors, plaster walls and crittall windows, it is a winning combination. Bonus points for the dark stained wood adding in some moody drama. This is everything I love. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. They can, though, place beautiful slabs of it throughout its interior for us to “oooh” and “aaah” over. Dark and moody meets sophisticated and chic, tailored, polished and precise. The Glasshouse by Sydney-based Nina Maya Interiors.

The Stockholm apartment of architect Daniel Heckscher of Note Design Studio demonstrates quite dramatically the power of paint. Formerly a white box in an ugly building from 1988, he brought in a lot of creativity, which included some help from his 2 young children who must absolutely love spending time here. It is such a vibrant and whimsical home, and quite amazing when you think of how it can be transformed into something completely different with just a couple more cans of paint!

B-b-b-b-b-blue. Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios has taken his signature pastels and brass accents and punched them up a notch with a statement royal blue in his own Manhattan apartment. Could you? Would you? Are you feeling blue? I am! Fun, fresh and definitely in your face.

Loving this Denver, Colorado home from the outside in, renovated by architecture and construction firm Design Platform. I really love the simplicity of the exterior and all of the fabulous storage solutions of the interior. And well, every else about this.
