Atelier Prototipi is a design studio based in Minsk, Belarus founded by architects Aleksey Klimov and Eugene Cherkas. Their take on modern design is whimsical and refreshing. Architecture as art.

I spotted this 45m² apartment on the real estate site Lagerlings and wanted to share as this is such a telling example of what architectural details can do to trick the eye into believing a space is not as it as it appears. In this case tall ceilings and dramatic windows make the space appear larger. Even with the addition of a crittall-style bedroom separation it provides an air of grandeur. Gorgeous!!!

Toronto-based Jessica McGouran of Jessica Leigh Interiors is a new-to-me designer and I’m so glad I found her. After perusing her portfolio I was quite smitten with her eye for the graphic (via colour, pattern and texture) and her eclectic yet timeless outlook on interiors.

I love it when designers embrace their creativity and develop really unconventional spaces without boundaries. This home may be modern and polished but it has such character and whimsy in some subtle and not-so-subtle doses. Mona Ross Berman may have gone where no designer has gone before, but she rocked this project.
